The staff members of The Great American Royal Circus Inc. understand food insecurities and
hunger are no laughing matter. Food insecurities and hunger have a direct link to serious
health issues which include depression and suicide. These issues significantly impair the
academic and psychosocial development of school-age children and adolescents, and
contribute to crime.
Last year, over 35 million Americans relied heavily upon food banks and pantries to help ease
their hunger pains Sadly, not all needs were met. As the Farm Bill stalls in the Senate, the
price of fuel increases daily, and the economy slows, more and more hard working families
are requesting assistance. From this time last year, food banks and pantries across America
are experiencing a 16% - 27% increase in families requesting food assistance. Once again,
not all needs can be met.
While in my teens, being raised to take over my family’s circus, I had a vision of a circus that
would help millions of Americans. I am now in my early 40’s and it wasn’t until a little over a
year ago I began researching my vision. Could an animal free, nonprofit circus that only
charges a can of food for admission survive in today’s entertainment market? After performing
a national survey and a great deal of research, we discovered that not only would a nonprofit
animal free circus survive, it would flourish. Click here for survey results - The Great American
Royal Circus Inc., an animal free, I.R.S. approved 501(c)(3) nonprofit public charity is born.
It gives me great pleasure to share with you The Great American Royal Circus’s
Mission Statement:
Through the use of our high energy, theatrical, traveling circus, we will
help replenish food banks across America while providing family
entertainment every family can afford regardless of economic
restrictions. Bring a can of food to the circus and get in for FREE.
Our traveling circus also doubles as a vehicle bringing awareness to
food banks and outreach programs that focus on the root causes of
hunger in America, thus sparking volunteerism and furthering donations
long after the circus has departed from the hosting city.
